Bean Bag Stuffing – Easy to Get

Bean Bag Stuffing – Easy to Get

The quality of your beanbag depends on what type of material it is made from. The basic beanbag is made from a variety of soft materials or pliable leather made into a very large cushion shape. Into this cushion casing is then stuffed fabric until your beanbag looks like a cross between a balloon and a pillow. The stuffing is the important part of your beanbag as this gives the softness and comfort that is so inviting to everybody.

Your typical stuffing used as filling for the beanbag is polystyrene spheres. These balls are soft and pliable therefore it allows comfortable movement of the body resting on the beanbag. It molds itself to enfold the body laying on top of it, no matter what shape that is.

No matter what type of beanbag you think of; large floor beanbags, beanbag sofas, beanbag chairs, beanbag beds or the variety of beanbag children’s’ toys, what they all have in common is their stuffing. If the outer casing is not able to contain the stuffing the beanbag is worthless, therefore the beanbag casing must be made from a durable material with good, solid stitching keeping everything in place.

Always check that the label on the beanbag states that the materials are according to environmental safety standards, especially as most beanbag stuffing comes from recycled material.

Beanbags have been popular since their invention and it is normal to see them in play centers, homes, offices and outside on patios. They have become an integral part of most homes today and that is not surprising at all. Beanbags are ergonomically ideal, they have a proven track record for relieving stress and helping people to unwind without special classes that cost a fortune. You do not have to redecorate your entire house to accommodate a few Bean Bag either, you simply bring them in and they become an established part of your home. Is it any wonder that old and young love the beanbag and especially that wonderful stuffing that make the beanbag so unique and versatile?

Next time take note of how many different forms of beanbags you encounter in a typical day; you might be delightfully surprised to notice how many innovative ideas people have come up with for making use of the indispensable beanbag.

Austin began to reduce the use of plastic shopping

Austin began to reduce the use of plastic shopping bags – News – Free Journalism

The Austin City Council unanimously approved a Resolution to reduce plastic bags entering the solid waste stream by 50% from current levels by June of 2009.

You can read the resolution here.

Participants in the voluntary program including Wal-Mart, H-E-B, Randalls, Target, Walgreen’s, and Whole Foods, will have plastic shopping bags recycling at their stores, make affordable reusable bags available for purchase, and report their levels of plastic bag use every six months.

Additionally, the City of Austin Solid Waste Services Department will launch a curbside plastic bag recycling pilot program for customers in selected neighborhoods.

Local non-profit Keep Austin Beautiful will coordinate a public education campaign entitled “Austin’s Got a Brand New Bag” to encourage Austinites to shop with reusable bags.

The unanimous approval by the Austin City council shows a commitment to reducing the use and waste of plastic shopping bags. The program is a step in the right direction.

The Bag the Bags Coalition will work with all partners during the next 15 months to encourage more retailers to join the effort. Additionally, Bag the Bags will continue to advocate for a responsible ban that fully addresses the problems caused by disposable shopping bags.

Over the next 15 months, Bag the Bags will lend its full support to the voluntary reduction effort. But we will continue to highlight the pressing need for a responsible ban on disposable plastic bags.

In July 2009, the City Council will evaluate the success of the voluntary program. It is our hope that at that time, the city will recognize the value of a ban on plastic shopping bags.

More work remains to be done, but we can be proud of how far we have come.

What Makes a Good Sleeping Bag-

What Makes a Good Sleeping Bag?

Sleeping bags are one of the most important pieces of camping gear that you can purchase. I have gone through my fair share of cheap ones, and found very quickly that they are simply a waste of money. I have read several times that if it makes you comfortable, keeps you warm or makes you enjoy a trip then you shouldn’t skimp on it. For example, buying a cheap tent just because it is cheap is going to bite you back when it rains, because it’s not going to seal properly. There is nothing worse than spending a night when you are cold and uncomfortable, and being wet makes this even worse.

The bags that you buy for sleeping in are usually rated for different temperatures, and a good one will only satisfy a set range of temperatures. I wised up several years ago and purchased a sleeping bag that was very expensive, but it’s also incredibly warm. The issue though is in summer I can’t use it, because it’s much too hot. As a result, often you need to get more than one sleeping bag, but this comes down to how often you go camping. Some bags can be peeled apart (they have layers) to make up for this, but generally the better ones don’t.

The best bags are usually made out of down, but these are very expensive. What you need to do is work out what you want the bag to do, and go from there. A good sleeping bag doesn’t have to be the top quality one that costs a huge amount of money if you are only camping every now and again, and when it is warm. Good sleeping bags are generally shaped to your body, and have sealed zips. The ones with hoods ensure that you stay exceptionally warm as well.

Action – Not a Bag of Mouth

Action – Not a Bag of Mouth

Have you ever had a great idea, one of those “a-ha” moments that struck you as almost divine inspiration and that refuses to leave your mind? It infects all you do, no matter what you try in order to block it out of your head.

My husband had that experience this morning. He has ideas all the time – powerful ideas like God has spoken to him. Of course he just has to tell someone, and often I am the lucky one. I get excited for him, and then “real life” sets in as we fulfill the requests of hungry babies or bill collectors. Sometimes, however, the idea goes far.

This scenario plays out with all of us. Unfortunately for me, I frequently don’t pursue these ideas and before long I find that someone else had the same idea and followed their dreams, going on to earn accolades, fame, or even financial gains from their great idea!

Has this “theft” happened to you? If so you know that you feel, in a way, cheated. You – not this “crook” – should have gotten the benefits. Believe it or not, this feeling might be more legitimate than you think.

I’ve recently been reading the Bible from cover to cover because I find it to be a masterful piece of literature that is truly inspirational. Throughout this work are many prophecies, and an amazing number of stories about people who acted on their ideas… and those who did not. Even today, the main point is the same: many people get ideas, but only a few actually do anything about them.

Many times people have the same ideas at the same time. Certainly Thomas Edison was not the only person to have a light bulb in his head about the light bulb, but he was the only one who acted on it. Steve Jobs and Bill Gates had similar ideas at the same time. One had the idea to partner with one of the world’s biggest businesses at the time, and we all know how successful Microsoft became as a result.

If you have a great idea, you can be sure that somewhere on this planet someone else has the same idea. Don’t waste time. Do something about your idea. As Nadine Southerland sings, “Action is not a bag of mouth.” You have to do more than just talk about your idea.

Start by recording your idea – on paper or your computer. Then find people who can bring your idea to fruition by searching the internet. There are so many companies that can help, whether it’s by publishing a manuscript or putting your idea in front of the right people who can move your idea along. Don’t worry about someone stealing your idea – someone else probably has the same idea anyway – just get moving on it so you can be the first to develop it. Think about Leonardo da Vinci. He was one of the most prolific inventors in history, but for all his great ideas he did little to realize those concepts. We could have had the airplane or helicopter hundreds of years earlier!

Are you secretly harboring the next great bit of art or a way to benefit the next generation? Don’t keep it buried – it was not given to you by chance. You must take your idea and do something with it. Biblically speaking, God doesn’t perform miracles, people do as a result of acting on the inspiration of God. Are you that person? You will never know unless you take action!

How to Spot a Fake Coach Diaper Bag

How to Spot a Fake Coach Diaper Bag

Many designer bags, such as those manufactured by Coach, Prada and Louis Vuitton, are easily counterfeited and sold in online auctions and by disreputable street vendors. Buyers are often fooled by the fakes, paying full price for a bag that was not created by the designer. A trained eye, however, can easily tell the difference between an authentic designer bag and a fake. Determining the legitimacy of any Coach bag (including baby bags) is easy if you know what to look for.

  • Examine the “C” logo on the bag and verify that the Cs are not Gs or a similar letter. The Cs should be arranged in pairs.
  • Examine the overall C logo pattern. The pattern should be reflected as a mirror image on either side of the center seam, with the Cs lining up perfectly at the seam. If the Cs look lopsided, disjointed or cut off, the bag is a fake.
  • Look at the dust bag that comes with the Coach bag. An authentic dust bag is dark brown with a red drawstring, imprinted with “COACH EST. 1941” in white. Fake handbags will be accompanied by white or tan dust bags.
  • Check the interior for a leather authenticity tag. The tag should include the serial number, which should begin with “No.” (the abbreviation for number). The words on the authenticity tag should be neatly arranged and not crooked. The paragraph above the serial number should be written in English and in all caps.
  • Contact Coach and verify that the last four digits of the serial number match the style of bag you intended to purchase.
  • Check the tag attached to the bag. It should be a leather tag in the same color as the bag’s trim, connected by a beaded chain. The brand name should be raised.
  • Look at the zipper on the bag. It should be imprinted with the letters “YKK”.
  • Examine the overall look of the bag. It should be sturdy and not lop-sided or slouchy. The stitching should be perfect without any loose threads or thread knots.
  • My Miche Bag Review

    My Miche Bag Review

My Miche Bag – It’s still flying off the shelves

Every well dressed woman would be greatly appreciative of a designer hand bag that is not only an accessory; but also apart of your personality.

I would like to share my honest review of what I believe is the best darn purse to ever hit the shelves in the united states and possibly the entire world.

Miche bags normally contain covers that are called “Shells” and there are many different shells that you can choose from. It’s actually a quite neat concept, an interchangeable handbag that uses the power of magnetic charge to cling together.

Miche bags are made from 100% pure silk which means that they stand up against ware and tear that can make your purse look very ugly. Even when the purse does finally take its toll… you can quickly upgrade the look of your purse in a snap!

How would you like your own Miche hand bag made just for you?

From what I understand you can get customizable shells for your Miche. I don’t know too much about it, but it might be worth looking into if you need a custom purse for a particular dress or outfit.

The process is very simple and can be done very quickly using Miche’s website and upload your favorite photo and BOOM! You have a custom hand bag in just moments. I have created a link for you at the bottom of this page and you can follow it to learn more.

Punching Bag Exercises – They Are For Everyone, No

Punching Bag Exercises – They Are For Everyone, Not Just Fighters

The moment someone sees a punching bag, whether it be on a picture or a movie or even in real life, let’s say a sporting goods store, they all think of boxing. Most even take it a step further and think of the famous Rocky Balboa and have the song Eye of the tiger playing in their head. If in a store almost every other person would punch it just for the hell of it. It is called a punching bag for a purpose right?

So how come everyone wants to punch it and at least goof around with one, yet still most of the people out there believe it is for professional use only. I myself have been running a business dealing with sporting goods (martial arts equipment) and have found that over 95% of my customers for punching bags were ordinary people that have nothing to do with martial arts. Almost 50% of them just want to “sweat it out” and most have a little place set up just for “her”.

I offer them advice on how to use it to really get the sweat going. I myself have been practicing martial arts for almost a decade and have done my share of sweating. But nothing came even close to a real 1:1 session with the bag. She never gets tired, she never gets hurt and she never complains to go easy on her (excuse my personalization of the bag and naming it “she”). These three facts alone make it possible to cram a highly intensive workout into 15 minutes or less that will really get your cardio going. This is does not include warm-ups.

You will have fun at it as well. If training by yourself you can also let a lot of steam go and pretend the bag is your boss or annoying neighbour that constantly steals your parking space. Satisfaction is guaranteed. You can use kicks, punches or best of all both.

I would suggest looking into the basic elements of punching (straight punch, hook punch and uppercut) along with proper techniques for low-middle-high kicks. The purpose for this is not to make you look like Mike Tyson or Bruce Lee but to prevent injuries that may occur and also to ad a list of workouts you can do when combining these elements together. You could get the basics on YouTube and similar sites.

The lists are endless but for starters here are some basic workouts for beginners:

    – 5 min warm-up with stretching of all the joints
    – 5 series of 3 minute intervals with 2 minutes rest in between

The 3 minute intervals should consist of no less than 2 and no more than 5 techniques (if skilled you could add more).

    Here are my favourites:

    1.) L, R, L (cross)
    2.) L, R,L (cross), R (middle)
    3.) R, L, R (cross), L (low)
    4.) R, L, R (upper), L (cross)
5.) All kicks and punches in all forms

    L = left, R= Right, if there is no ( ) it s a straight punch otherwise.

    Train hard and stay safe.

    How to Make Bingo Bags

    How to Make Bingo Bags

Make a barrel-type, drawstring bingo bag to carry your bingo card daubers in convenient outside pockets. Inside, store and carry your glue stick, change and, of course, your lucky charm.

  • Fig. 1Cut a circle from patterned fabric, 1/2 inch larger around than the coffee can cover.
  • Cut a 22-by-12 inch piece of plain fabric.
  • Cut a 22-by-6 inch piece of patterned fabric. Fold over 1/2 inch at the top. Stitch down to hem.
  • Fig. 2Lay patterned piece on top of plain piece, matching bottom edges. Mark off approximately 3-inch sections on the patterned piece. Sew from top hem of patterned piece to raw bottom edge, through both thicknesses of fabric, to create sectioned pockets.
  • Fig. 3Fold two-layered fabric piece in half with right sides together, and sew side seam. Zig-zag for extra stability. Fold under top of plain piece to make a 3/4-inch casing. Stitch down.
  • Snip a small hole in outside of casing, and make hand-sewn stitches around the edge of the hole to prevent raveling. Attach a safety pin to the end of a 28-inch length of drawstring. Work the pin with the drawstring through the casing, going into the hole, through the casing and back out the hole. Remove pin and knot ends of drawstring together.
  • Sew patterned piece, with right sides together, circle to bottom of bag, easing circle to fit. Zig-zag seam. Slip coffee can cover inside to serve as the base of bag.
  • How to Reduce Plastic Bag Use

How to Reduce Plastic Bag Use

Millions of plastic bags are currently sitting in landfills and garbage cans in the U.S. and abroad. Not only does it take a plastic bag years to decompose, but bags that don’t make it to the landfill get caught in drains, in the ocean or around animals’ bodies. There are so many ways to reduce plastic bag use; here are some easy tips to get you started.

  • Buy a reusable fabric bag. Bags made from different kinds of fabrics, such as canvas or cotton, can be used repeatedly and are usually washable. Most grocery stores and retailers are happy to have customers use non-plastic bags.
  • Ask for paper at the grocery when the check-out clerk asks you that age old question, “Paper or plastic?” Although it’s best to use a fabric bag, paper is recyclable and most plastics are not. Plastics take much longer to decompose.
  • Reuse plastic bags in creative ways. Search the Internet for helpful ideas. For example, plastic bags can be used to stuff a giant pet pillow, to line paint trays or the baseboards when painting a room, or they can be stored in the car for wet clothes and shoes. There’s really very little need to get more bags because the opportunities to reuse the ones you have are endless.
  • Encourage your local stores to charge for plastic bags. Some retailers have started requiring patrons to pay for a plastic bag just as they would pay for any other item in the store. Most people would rather carry their newly purchased belongings by hand than shell out 59 cents for a bag.
  • Fill a bag until it’s ready to burst. Place as many items as possible in one plastic bag and you’ll find it easy to reduce waste. Check-out clerks are notorious for putting only a couple of items in each bag. Help them out by bagging items yourself. Even if you are unable to stop using plastic bags completely, the reduction is a significant step forward.
  • Obtain biodegradable plastic bags. Pet stores, pet shelters, environmental protection agencies and chambers of commerce often provide biodegradable plastic for everyday use. Some bags decompose in around 15 days. Do a little research to find out if there are places in your city that provide this option.
  • What is the Big Fuss Over Jute Tote Bags-

What is the Big Fuss Over Jute Tote Bags?

The trend of using tote bags for promotional purposes dominated in 2009 and looks to be even more influential in 2010. Customizable bags are stylish and reusable which gives them the two pronged effect of being aesthetically appealing and environmentally friendly. With the advent of corporate social responsibility and the “green movement”, companies have been looking for ways to show customers, potential customers and employees that they care about the environment. Cotton bags took the environmental friendliness of these products to a new level, being that they are organic. But no promotional bag product is considered more environmentally friendly than jute totes. Jute is a material made of interwoven plant fibers, so jute bags are reusable and completely biodegradable. Jute also has a certain aesthetic appeal as it is very earth tones and natural texture.

Despite the fact that jute tote bags are incredibly versatile, there are still many different kinds of bags for different uses. Grocery jute totes are popular and use long straps and medium-sized compartment space to optimize the shopping experience. Grocery totes need to have medium-sized strap designs that make it possible for the item to be carried by hand or over-the-shoulder. The size of these bags is also important as a bag that is too big will be difficult to carry when full and a bag that is too small will be inconvenient for grocery shopping purposes. Shopping for products other than groceries requires specialized totes as well. When shopping for clothes and accessories most prefer a medium-sized stylish jute bag. Some jute bags come with colorful panel designs that are easy on the eyes and are work well in formal and casual settings.

Work and school jute tote bags are fairly similar in that they can either be small or medium-sized. A large jute tote bag for work or school would be too much to carry around all day. A medium-sized jute tote bag can comfortably carry several books, files and stationary without looking too bulky. These bags also require a certain level of formality being that they are used in the workplace or classroom, which are typically formal settings. Bags for the workplace or school really show a commitment to an environmentally friendly lifestyle which can earn the respect of your colleagues and peers.

Jute tote bags are great for the outdoors as well. These bags are made of natural materials that look and work perfectly with nature. Jute is a strong material that is durable enough to take the rigors of the outdoors. Depending on what type of outdoor activity one is embarking on, recommended jute tote bag sizes vary. Picnics and beach excursions generally require larger bags as blankets and towels tend to take up a lot of compartment space. Jute bags also have a certain style that makes them particularly sought-after beach bags.
